One characteristic of hardwood tables is that each plank used is unique. There are natural variations in color: lighter pieces were closer to the bark, darker pieces closer to the tree’s center. You will find natural markings on your table, such as knots where tree branches grew. They do not affect strength, and attest to the fact that your piece is genuine solid hardwood.
